Pack Check-In is a small community app for dog owners to check in at local dog parks, see who else is around, and connect with other owners. This page explains what information we collect and how it's used.
We use this information to run the core features of the app - showing who's at a park, letting you message other owners, and sending notifications you've opted into - and to keep the community safe, including reviewing reports and moderating or suspending accounts that break the rules. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Any signed-in user can see your dog's profile and your check-in activity at a park - that's the point of the app. Direct messages are visible only to the two people in that conversation (admins can view messages only when investigating a report). Private notes you write about another dog are visible only to you.
We rely on a small number of service providers to run the app: Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage) and Vercel (hosting). Your browser's own push notification service is used if you opt in to alerts.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile page - this removes your dogs, photos, messages, and other personal data, and disables your ability to log in. A minimal record may remain with our authentication provider, but it's no longer usable to access your account or any of your data.
Pack Check-In is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
We use reputable, industry-standard providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee complete security.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
